These are not perfect, but they are the best I've found

I've tried quite a few electrical tool bags. Klein, milwaukee, Veto, occidental, diamondback, and boulder bags (twice). I came back and ordered another set of these recently after selling my old ones 4 years ago. After all the money and time I've spent with other bags, I think I have a pretty good idea about what makes a good toolbelt.

Personally, I prefer a leather tool belt, with nylon pouches, so I haven't tried the new wider belt offered by boulder bags. However, I have seen one and it will have the same problem as the model I used to own. Velcro is used to keep the pouches from sagging on the belt, after a few years the velcro will wear out and the pouches will droop down. Not the end of the world, they won't fall off, but it is less comfortable. I use an occidental leather belt and matching suspenders to avoid this. And the leather belt Is a bit cooler in the summer too.

But as for the pouches, I don't think you can find better -IF- your hands are glove size large or smaller. If you wear an xl size glove or bigger, the openings on quad pocket material pouch will probably be too small for you. The non-dominant/material pouch made by boulder bags is the best I've ever used hands down. I love the organization offered by the 4 pockets, and the wide horizontal pouch on top. It can get crowded if you need to fill up on 1" fittings, but for nearly all tasks it's great. Not perfect though. I would like to see another pliers pocket to mirror the one that comes attached, and I would like to see more clip on attachments sold by boulder bags. The pouch has a small piece of webbing on the front and back to accomodate for modular use, but Currently boulder bags only sells additional sacks that clip on to the webbing. I think If they also sold clip on; admin pouches, metal tape measure clips, or tool loops, it would really help people customize their belt how they need it. But even as it stands, it's a great product.

As for the tool/dominant side I have a few more nitpicks, but it is still a good pouch with a great pocket layout. Personally I think it rides too high on the belt and grabbing a tool from the back of this pouch makes you stretch for it. I would like for the 'neck' of the pouch to be increased/lowered down by an inch or two. And lastly i would really like to see the pockets on the interior of the pouch be made of either a colored fabric, (like they are on the outside of the pouch) or stitched in colored thread. When you go to put a tool back, it's really hard to see where the pockets are unless you're in a brightly lit area. As an electrician, we are often not in brightly lit areas lol

Overall, not perfect, but pretty dang close, and even though they are lightweight these bags will last a decade, easy. I know multiple people with 10+ years with these.

Best belts I’ve ever used!

I bought a set of Boulder Bags, I think it was in the late 90s, does that sound right? And I’ve never used anything else. They stay tight to the body, pouches stay open and firm, super comfortable, I’ve had the same set up for years. Never buying anything else. Don’t even think twice about it, buy them! And the customer service has always been just great!
